::life gets busy

**Before I get into this blog post, I just want to take a moment to acknowledge that today is the 12th Anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. Not a day goes by where I'm not totally appreciative and grateful for the freedoms I call my own as an American. God Bless the families that lost loved ones.God Bless our Nation. God Bless everyone!**

Hi Friends,
It's been a very, very long time since I've last blogged. So many times I've thought to jump on here and write a thing or two, but the laundry wont do itself, the kids wont make dinner (dang it!) and I'm not Mary Poppins, so I can't just snap my fingers to get the house cleaned. Wouldn't that be nice?!

Anyhow, my boys are 2.5 years old... *sigh*... a lot has been happening with them in the last 6 months.

Here's a recap:

One thing that I've recently tackled that has been a success this summer is my vegetable/fruit garden! It's like my little therapy/hobby/pet project. I've got a history of being a poor gardener, so having this actually go better than planned has been a huge thing for me. It makes me feel good, proud and accomplished. I have tangible "fruits" of my labor, which is something I really needed at this point in my life. A FB friend said I should blog about how to grow a successful garden, so I'm taking that into consideration. I'd love to do something like that, but it would definitely be a seasonal thing, since I can't grow a garden year round (weather issues).

Have any of you ever grown a garden?
Is it something you've ever considered?

::Christmas is Upon Us!

It's been far too long since I've blogged my thoughts. I've had plenty of thoughts and the desire to record them here, but it just seems that the only thing I've lacked is the time to do so....

My boys are 22 months old... I can't believe that! 22 months ago, the Hubs and I never thought we'd be alive this far along. Struggles, trials, tribulations, babies that refused to sleep and much more, we have overcame it all, and ti feels good.

I have lots of friends who are prego right now, many with their 1st, and I giggle sometimes knowing what road lay ahead for them. It's the craziest, yet most AMAZING road we have ever taken. Some people say you forget the baby days and that why people want more kids. I beg to differ. We will not forget. We are undecided on whether or not we want to expand our family even further, but we haven't and will not forget where we were 22 months ago. What an exciting time!

Christmas is going to be loads of fun this year with my boys! They are old enough to play into the excitement of opening gifts and they love watching the Christmas tree sparkle in the evening time. I've even caught them running around the house holding presents! Silly boys! Santa told me that he will be bringing them a Jeep and a Mini Cooper (you know those batter powered ones that have seat belts, a steering wheel and gas and brake pedals??)! Yep, you heard it right, friends! My kids will EACH be getting their first cars at 22 months old! They went crazy over the one we saw at Costco, so their Lola and Lolo insisted on buying them the Mini, after the Hubs and I bought them the Jeep. These boys are LOVED!

We will have a house full of family for the holidays, which makes me super happy. I love nothing more than having family visit, and watching the boys interact with people they don't get to see often. They are sure to be special memories for all!

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!

::Movie Theater Tragedy

.............
.............
.............

so my computer screen has been blank for the last 15 minutes...
I have no idea where to even begin my thoughts...

First off, I don't think this is the appropriate time to debate the issue of gun control, so lets leave that for another blog post.

My heart is broken. It's broken for the victims and their families. It's broken for the parents of the murderer, because they didn't deserve this. The victims and their families didn't deserve this. Nobody did.

I'm speechless....
