::Health Update

I went back to my OBGYN last Friday after having a few days of a LOT of pain. They did another ultrasound to see if my 8cm diameter cyst had ruptured, and they discovered that I have a gall stone. A damn gall stone! I was so tired of dealing with all the pain that I asked to have surgery to have it and my cyst removed that day, but unfortunately there was no surgeon available to do the surgery. It ended up being for the better, because I've since had a change of heart on wanting to do it.

After meeting with my chiropractor and doing a little soul searching, I've finally admitted that I need to get my shit together and start eating healthier. I eat 30% good stuff and 70% crap. I should be eating 85% good stuff and only 15% crap. So, for the next 2 months, I'm on a strict vegetarian diet. No meat :( Booo!

The positive is that I'll be healthier and this is something I really need to do for myself and for my kids. It's time for me to make the change....

So stay tuned, as there might be some bitch vent posts ahead since I can't eat any chocolate :)

::Pap Schmap

Today, I had my annual violation at the OBGYN. Good news.... My va-jay-jay and I are doing just fine!

Shortly after the boys were born, I had some weird bleeding so I went back to my doc and they did an ultrasound of my uterus and other parts. They quickly discovered that I had a large hematoma on my uterus incision (from my c-section). No biggie, but it just needed to be monitored. So today, I had another ultrasound to check the status of the hematoma and to make sure my IUD was still in place. The hematoma is gone and the IUD is still in place (thank goodness!), however I have a giant cyst on my right ovary. So large that it's bigger than my uterus! Holy crap! It's a whopping 8cm in diameter. The US tech and my OB were shocked that it hasn't caused me any pain given its size. They said that anything over 5cm is a cause for concern. They also said that cysts are common with Mirena, however ones this big are not.

Any how, I have another appointment to check the cyst again on the 30th, and based on the findings, I'll know whether or not this damn thing will go away on its own or if I have to have surgery to remove it. They did say that if it bursts on its own, I'll be in a lot of pain. Excellent! Something to look forward to. (kidding)

We'll see what happens after the next ultrasound. Part of me isn't surprised at this news, though. I feel like one of those people who never has normal stuff to deal with. Every since I became pregnant, I morphed into a person who is always the exception and not the rule. Oh, what I would give to part of the masses of dumb asses (a saying from my Dad)...

Stay Tuned to see what my ovaries are up to on the next episode of "My Crazy Ovaries".
